Rich Woods & Glass Backsplash Make this New Rock Island Kitchen Shine
Village Home Stores was able to help take a cramped kitchen to a dazzling new level with our full project management from start to finish. The family needed more space and a load of style. The new kitchen is so dramatic and stunning and of course, you will notice the cabinetry right away. The kitchen may have a cherry look, but it is in fact a birch wood with a burgundy stain applied. It is a rich look at a fraction of the cost. They have a beautiful mitered door construction. You will be able to see a black accent glaze in the groves that make it stand out. Beautiful crown molding and undercabinet molding provide an amazing extra touch.
The back of the kitchen peninsula is something to see. This is the first part you see when you walk in the front door. You will see a baseboard and two matching posts have been placed on the back end of the peninsula. It has a look of a piece of furniture in the area.
There are cambria quartz countertops with a beautiful glass subway tile backsplash in a coordinating color. It keeps the countertop style clean and traditional but also very fresh and new. The diode under cabinet lighting really sets things off. The flooring has the look of ceramic, but is actually luxury vinyl tile by Mannington. It is warm underfoot, easy to clean and still looks amazing!
A few last detail is the apron front or “farm sink”. It is eye catching and classic. It looks so good with the dark cabinetry with a wonderful contrast of color. Another amazing kitchen from our project management team at Village Home Stores Team. Thanks to the homeowners for allowing us share their kitchen!

Diode L.E.D. Lighting For The Perfect Lighting in Your Quad Cities Home
L.E.D. stands for light emitting diode and L.E.D. lighting doesn’t emit as much heat, uses less energy than standard lighting, and has a longer life span. This can be a huge benefit in areas like the kitchen where you already have extra heat from cooking. Your lighting won’t add extra heat to an already warm kitchen – what a plus! Another huge plus is the low wattage used, at 2.88 watts per foot, you can leave your lights on throughout the day to add ambiance. Add a dimmer switch to create great ambiance in the evening as well. You can use this type of lighting under cabinets, above toekicks, outdoors, and even under water. You can also get other colors to really change things up.
If you are interested in Diode L.E.D Lighting, we can make the switch easy for you at Village Home Stores. We can make an appointment to come out to your home, measure, snap photos and provide you with a free estimate prior to your install. We want to make it a fun and easy process for you!
